Hi, I'm Romney!
Hi, I’m Romney – Big, Black & Seriously Under appreciated! So here’s the thing… Apparently us black dogs get overlooked. Like, what? HOW?! I mean, have you seen me? I’m sleek, shiny, and basically a four-legged cuddle machine with a tail that could power a small wind farm. I overheard the humans chatting about it – yep, they talk a LOT. No idea what they’re on about half the time. Honestly, why talk when you could be zooming around the paddock or handing out free belly rubs (which I am VERY good at receiving, by the way). Belly rubs are my #1 favourite thing in the world. I live for them. Anyway! I’m Romney, an 18-month-old Labrador x with possibly everything you could imagine , and I’m told I’m a friendly, affectionate, zoomie-loving good boy. My mates at the shelter have been getting adopted and sending us photos of their new homes. They’ve got sofas! Gardens! Their very own humans, who call them “family”! And honestly, I want that too. I want my own people! I’ve got endless tail wags, big goofy smiles, and a lifetime supply of kisses just waiting for the right human. I’m crate trained, learning to walk on a lead (even though I keep thinking it’s belly rub time), and I live on a lifestyle block with Buttercup the Cow, chickens, ducks, guinea fowl, and a pig named Karen (she’s… a an interesting one that one.) I love playing with all the dogs – they’re my best mates – but sometimes they say, “Romney, bro, you’re kinda big, maybe chill before you knock us smaller dudes over ……I’m working on it.) I also live with cats, although we haven’t had the big meet-n-greet yet. Apparently, I get to meet them this week. Spooky little things – like furry ghosts! So here’s the deal: If you’re looking for a fun, cuddly, people-loving dog, who just happens to look like a majestic panther in dog form… I’m your guy. Please share my story far and wide! Tell your mates, your gran, your dog-loving cousin with the treat-filled pockets. Let them know the best boy is waiting.
